Environmental Essentials can help to develop and restructure your company's approach to COSHH. We offer an all round package including risk assessment, detailed examinations and testing through to suitable training and instruction. We understand that every company has variation in their requirements and bespoke packages can be tailored to suit all sectors of industry.
The onus has now been placed upon the employer to ensure that exposure to substances that are hazardous to health is adequately controlled. The risk assessment is the initial point for this process. Environmental Essentials can carry out comprehensive assessments based on various process requirements.
In accordance with COSHH engineering control measures are necessary to provide control from airborne substances in the workplace. The most commonly used method is the provision of LEV plant. To ensure that these measures are working in the manner that they were intended a full inspection, examination and test should be carried out by a trained and competent person in accordance with HSE guidance.
Our trained occupational hygienists recognise the importance of reducing exposure and through the use of approved methods can accurately calculate the exposure of employees to many airborne contaminants in the workplace. Cost effective solutions are then provided to further reduce exposure and help to achieve compliance with COSHH.
At Environmental Essentials UK we feel that it is important that the outcomes of our exposure surveys are adequately conveyed to the employees as these are the people directly affected. As such, we provide a comprehensive package to employers which include report presentation to management to enable any areas of interest to be discussed further and training for employees to enable them to further minimise any risks identified. The content of the training session can either be fully provided by us or custom developed in consultation with management to ensure the most relevant content for your workplace.
